Joselyn has always had a strained relationship with her daughter Kelly. Both are jealous and competitive. Joselyn is on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

She’ll do anything to get the funding she needs to complete her documentary on a serial killer, even if it means relying on her cheating husband to lend her money.

Joselyn’s relationships with her husband, cameraman and daughter become even more strained when Kelly’s boyfriend, John, secretly begins working on the documentary.

All these intertwined relationships reach a breaking point when Joselyn asks John to accompany her for a month to work on the film. John must choose between his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s mother.
